Sunny, I am gonna leave this to the 3rd Bat guys to verify. I have however, found no one by the name or grade on AKO, if he was Medically Retired he would be there.

Additionally according to this site, no Steve Norris was awarded the Silver Star for Iraq or Afghanistan.

Thank you very much for your information. I know the person is full of crap. Worse it's criminal. In corporate american I don't think most companies know what a DD214 is. What's worse is knows I was in the Army and he still lies thru his teeth. Thanks again for the additional information.

If you have a copy of that former service member's DD214, we would like to have a look at it. Here is why:

1. Falsification of a federal document like a DD214 is a felony.
2. Transmission of false documents via electronic medium is a felony.
3. Fraud is a felony.

I can run a database check on your perpetrator in just a few moments. This will confirm the validity of the DD214, or confirm that it is false.

It is also not uncommon to find that people like this, people who falsify federal documents, are engaged in other forms of malfeasance. For example, the latest Ranger fake, Jeff Harris, has just been caught stealing benefits from the VA. He used fraudulent Purple Heart certificates to document claims, and has been drawing pension benefits.

We thought that it was unusual how quickly he lawyered up and had his attorney reply to further requests for information. Now we know why he did it. Harris is going to be prosecuted on several federal counts.

Hope that this helps.

The individual in question, Steve Norris, told me he was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart. He served from 2/97 to 2/2002. Claims that he was a CPT (P) Company Commander 3rd Ranger BN. How could this guy complete 3 tours in Iraq and 2 tours in Afghanistan in 5 years of service when we didn't start combat operations until after 9/11? I was on Active Duty up to 12/2001 and I know for a fact that there was no combat operations in 97,98,99,00,and most of 01? Is there a way to check past previous company commander positions in 3rd Ranger BN? Thanks Rangers.

Seeing that we didn't enter Iraq until March of 2003, tells me enough that this guy is full of shit.

But, that is just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Which 3/75 Company did he "Command" and when specifically does he claim 3/75 service.

Being that he states his Ranger class was "2-99, The period of service as a Army Ranger is 2/1999 to 2/2002. During this period he claims that he a Company Commander 3rd Ranger Battalion. No reference to what specific company. During that period he claims of Ranger service to have 3 tours in Iraq and 2 tours in Afghanistan. He has told numerous people in my company that he was shot in the arm and was medically retired. He seems perfectly fine to me, nothing that would cause a Ranger Company Commander to be medically retired. I had someone check the VA Medical system and there is no Steve Norris DOB: 11/08/74 that is medically retired or having combat related injuries. On the day that SFC Petry was being awarded the Medal of Honor at the White House I had to contact him about some company business. This is the conversation that I had with him, Steve did you hear in the news that a Army Ranger (SFC Petry) was being awarded the Medal of Honor for bravery in combat today at the White House" He stated he was aware of it and he said he was "Only awarded the Silver Star" for his actions. Over the last six months a few coworkers have approached me knowing I was Army Retired and asked me if this guy could have done all those things in the military he claims. That's when I started paying attention to this persons claims. Like most good Americans, people want believe in our Military and especially Military heros. The sad individuals he steal that honor must and will be exposed. Here is a quote from his promotional announcement that intially tipped me off to that something wasn't right with this guy. "Prior to being in the pharmaceutical industry, Steve was a Captain/Company Commander in the 3rd Ranger Battalion in the U.S. Army. He Served three tours in Iraq and two tours in Afghanistan and won numerous honors, medals, and accommodations while serving for our country."
