Anheuser Busch is in business to make a profit for its shareholders. if it gives to charity as part of its corporate philosophy, great. I'm glad to see them give up some of their profit to do so to help this cause, even if they sell beer using patriotism as a marketing tool. http://www.anheuser-busch.com/s/index.php/our-responsibility/community-our-neighborhoods/
Since 1997, Anheuser-Busch and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation have contributed nearly $475 million to charitable organizations, including those that support education, the environment, economic development, disaster preparedness/relief and support of those who serve our country.
Many employees also give countless hours to help worthy organizations. We applaud their commitments and support their efforts with the Employee Volunteer Grant program, which awards small grants to the non-profit organizations our employees regularly support with their volunteer hours.
I don't work for them, or like their beer, but it's good to see them give something back.
