personal sidearm

When you get deployed are you allowed to carry a sidearm of your own? Because I don't want to get stuck with M-9, not that theres anything wrong with it.....besides the little 9mm it shoots. I'd just rather have a 1911. Any input is appreciated.

The only way you get to carry what you want is on your 5th day at your unit you must go into your 1SG's office and demand that you be allowed to carry a 1911

Kid, You really need to STFU and do more reading....break your fucking fingers before you get thrown off the site.

Why don't you worry about things that matter at your age like making good grades, graduating school, getting laid, etc. You have a couple of years at least before you can even join, let alone think about "carrying your own weapon"
