Ranger EP gave you some good info on how to improve your score at the range so use the time you have now to practice. Since you have access to a firearm i would recommend a drill that will help you diminish the affect on your shot from anticipation. Have someone who is at the range with you load a mag with live and dummy rounds in no particular order (empty casings will do if you gun will feed them). Now shoot and watch your anticipation of the round going off and see how much your sight picture changes. Keep working on this drill over and over and over again.
Good Luck.

The "coin drill" is a different animal designed, primarily to improve your "trigger squeeze". Use the drill i told you to so that you can diminish the effect of "anticipation" on your shot. The "Fundamentals of Shooting" are NOT mutually exclusive, it does not matter if you do them all right except one. So, find an excuse not to practice the drill and you will be rewarded.devilrat35 wrote:
Ranger Rgr_Mindriot, I'm not sure where I would get dummy rounds but I did do the dime washer drills where you put the dime on the barrel a lot in basic and it barely ever fell off, I think I may of just had a bad day on qualification day because I was progressively shooting better each day up until that point
