Intro Rasiuli

Post by raisuli »

New to this board, but Old Ranger. Graduated Class 501-70 in Feb 1971 ... yes, 40 years ago this month.

Anyone know if "Winter Rangers" schooled in December, JAn, Feb still sew on the tab with white thread?

"Raisuli" eh? Another fan of the '70s classic "Wind and the Lion"?

Welcome aboard. Everything's velcro'd on the work uniforms now - 'thread'? what's that??

I was working out at my civilian gym here in Seattle, and saw a strapping yoot wearing the black and gold tshirt. I asked him when he won his tab. He said three years ago, before joining the Bn at Lewis.

I told him I graduated 40 years ago this month. he blurted out, "Man, you took the course back when it was HARD!" Now, ain't that the nicest thing you could say to a FOG? We THINK that but never say it to the newbies.

Yeppers. With work uni velcroed, and the greens and tans gone, there is only pin-on tabs. No more sew-on anywhere?

Best look for the tab in my career was on the shoulder of the Class B tans.

Damn straight. The khakis were the last military looking dress uniform the army had.
