Listen up, kid.
1) You have no idea what you are talking about. You won't find out what you can or cannot do until you go.
2) Get off your high horse. You should be the humblest person in the world right now. The sun rose and set before you came along and will continue to do so long after you are gone.
3) Often you get to where you are goping in life by making a series of choices, none of which you know at the time will be the correct one. The only thing I ever planned was to enlist into one of the Ranger Battalions. The rest were a series of junctions where I took one path when i could have just as easily taken another.
4) You were given some good advice about getting a combat tour under your belt. You don't know how long that will go on for and it is one of the most important things you can do while in. It is, after all, what we are all supposed to do. Respect is earned not given and you as a one year in, no combat tour PFC bring nothing to either Regiment that they must have.
