Cherry to the Board

Post by antmcg79 »

Hey all,

Trying to be in accordance with the Intro's guidlines, here it goes:

I was in the Army from 6/98 to 10/08. Did 2 tours in Iraq, one in 2003 with Eco 51st LRS (inserted prior to H-hr), and one in 2005-06 with 2-22 Recon Plt (10th Mtn)

I went to school and graduated Class 09/02. Recycled Mountains, but don't want any sh*t about it!

Served in LRS from 00-07, from Bn level recon to V corps LRS

Was an instructor at Recon & Surveillance Leaders' Course (taught planning/airborne ops/indirect fire), which is part of 4th RTB at Benning.

I still live in Columbus GA, and work for a law firm. I am pretty much the go-to guy here with IT stuff, but I take care of whatever task I'm given, as any Ranger does. I go to school at Devry Online, pursuing a degree in Information Security. My dream career would be some type of Resue/Forest Ranger, but there's WAY more money in IT. I got hungry kids, and I'm sure you guys know how that goes.

I'm a very amiable guy, so if anyone wants to know more, just let me know.

Thanks, RLTW

Great to know that there is someone else that enjoyed the mountains so much that he did it twice. Welcome...

Welcome Youngster. Thank you for your Warrior service to our country. Pursue what you love, not what you think where the money resides. Do what you love and you will be great at it & the money will follow.

Just an update, my RS class was actually 10-02. I found the picture on the interweb, and wanted to make that correction. Also, anyone know how to look up a Ranger Buddy?
