Introduction

Post by Ranger Parent »

Hello Rangers,

I am a Ranger Parent and my son is on his first deployment. I'm just trying to find out as much information as possible and semi knowing what he is going through, I would like to thank all of you for what you do. As a parent it is gut wrenching. I can't imagine what actual Rangers go through. My son went to basic in September, Airborne shortly after and then RASP. Right after high school. I have been surfing this site since September, reading all I can to get an understanding of your "work". Anything anybody can tell me about what is going on would be very helpful.

Again, my gratitude for all the Rangers do. It's truly unbelievable.

Welcome aboard!
You'll find other parents here who understand what you're going through. They'll be getting in touch with you. Meanwhile, your son is in great hands, nothing better for your son than the "tender love" of Ranger sergeants.

Welcome. You obviously did a very good job raising this young man. Thank you, from my family to yours, for your efforts.

Ranger Ingraham knows of what he speaks, being on the learning end of it as a young Ranger, and then dishing out that "tough love" as an NCO himself to other young Rangers.

Ranger NCO's are the absolute meanest, toughest SOB's on the planet, that's a guarantee right there, but they also look after their young Rangers as if they were their own children, in their own, caveman type of way.
