Introduction

Hello Rangers/Members

First off I would like to thank every single Ranger/ Verteran on this website for serving this beautiful country and fighting for what we believe in. I am a 21 years old and who just finished his 3rd year of college but can't wait to join the service and become an Army Ranger. Left school early to train for this and I know I have a long way to go before I even become a Ranger but I feel the being prepared is a quarter of the battle... maybe not even that. My father was and is an Army Ranger, and I only hope to live up to his legacy and be half the man that he was. Unfortunately we lost him quite a few years ago but I feel that becoming a Ranger is what he would have wanted from me and to try and become the best man that I can and this is the only way that I know how. Been on this site for only 20 minutes and all my questions have LITERALLY been answered (thank you search button). I konw my journey ahead of me is a long and arduous but I hope to take everything I can from this site to help better prepare myself.

I have recently taken the ASVAB and I'm leaving for MEPS next week. I have 13F on reserve with an Option 40 contract (took me sometime). Took a PT test the other day and here are some of my numbers:

91 PU
83 SU
14:27 2 miles
15 Pull Ups

Thank you Rangers

Welcome to the site. While you desire to serve our Country is appreciated, what doesn't make sense is why you aren't finishing college first since you already have three years under your belt. The Army and the Ranger Regiment will still be there after you graduate and you will have your degree. Why the impatience? Again, welcome to the site.

Welcome. Good luck to you with "luck" meaning preapredness meeting opportunity. Get yourself prepared to take advantage of the opportunity ahead of you and make your own good luck. Be sure to read and heed the ROE PM I have sent you.

I did not ask you a question. I asked jerm329. This is an "Introduction Forum" and this is HIS introduction post. In your self-centered world when one is asking a question of another, do you routinely pipe in an answer to a question that wasn't asked of YOU? This behavior would be rathering irritating in real life because it smacks of a self-centered attention seeker. I would immediately cut you off with a "I wasn't talking to you". In the Army, you would get a far more abrupt response.

You chose to make this your second post instead answering the question I posed to you? You aren't in any position to criticize. Your decision making skills seem to be lacking.
