Welcome, and thanks for your desire to serve.

The PT scores leave a lot to be desired, esp in the situps and run areas.

As for the whole avatar thing, someone should be along to help you soon.

You appearantly have several options to consider.

Consider this; a chance to have a degree with minimal or no cost to you OR
YOUR PARENTS is a decision not to be taken lightly.

This is from a father that never earned a degree but has paid for his daughter to get an Associates and his son a Bachelors. Many things luckily went my way to be able to do this without any accumulated debt for me or them.

The way I became a Ranger and have earned the small amount of success I have had in life has been mostly due to one quality - determination. Lefty.

I would have to agree with Ranger Buzz on that one..

I would look hard and heavy at that college degree, plus a commission into the Army. That's not something that comes around every day.

And just because your chances are -slim- to get into the 75th, doesn't mean it's impossible. And how would you feel if you enlisted and STILL didn't make it into the 75th?

Then you blew all your chances and are a private in the 82nd, in which case, I shall crush you. I love getting the Rippy dropouts... (Or is it Raspy dropouts now?)

Welcome. I sometimes wish I would have pursued ROTC out of High School. Forget what everyone has told you about college being tough; you'll find in life there is always someone trying to talk you out of something they never had the balls to do themselves.
