Exactly, GSD= German Shepherd Dog. Some of her relatives are serving in A-stan. I can't even imagine what a 90lb GSD hitting you at that speed, usually in the dark would feel like.

Actually pursuing a Forest Service environmental advisory detail to Haiti I learned about today. I am quite certain I have gone totally fucking nuts.

Curiously enough, now I've been invited on a detail to Africa.

So it's my turn to sit on the desk for the evening, this is absolutely going to be the longest shift of my life. Sucks when the new guys are all in a school. Only 8 more hours...
