19D question

Post by j6collins »

Hello,
I went to my recruiter and he told me that there are no 19D attached to the regiment. Is this true? All the research I have done says you can be 19D in the regiment. I only ask because it's my recruiters word vs everybody elses. I tried searching on the forum but it seems that the search key isnt working.

For what it's worth, I was a 11B assigned to Scout Platoons for the length of my Active Duty career. In my last assignment we did have 19D's assigned to the unit. They performed the exact same jobs that us 11B's performed. The only difference was that they weren't eligible for Combat Infantryman's Badges or the Expert Infantryman's Badge.

Not sure why you'd prefer 19D over 11B/C

There is a thread in this forum on this very topic that started in the last month or two.
I provided a link there to an official website that lists all the regimental MOSs. Since "I got mine", you can go find it yourself.
