Hello Rangers,
I used the search button and had no results so here's my question:
If I volunteer for early deployment I know that will mean being sent as a detachment to a Unit already in the field. However I do not know if that means staying with that unit after I come back. Men are dying and I want to do my part to help as soon as possible, but I don't want to wind up being reassigned according to "the needs of the Army". Does volunteering for deployment mean sacrificing the Ranger Scroll? Thanks In advance for any answers.

Re: Volunteering for early deployment?
I think this is a great response, Sandy. Actually, Neversay, patience is a virtue. Were it me, I'd get as much training prior to deployment as I could. Relax, there are going to be plenty of opportunities for deployment. We were always concerned when some new guy got to the unit -- particularly when they had little training, nor nothing to offer the unit.Kilted Heathen wrote:This was actually an edit.
