today heard someone playing a riff that started and sounded like
Alice in Chain's Got Me Wrong

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXhtm3CW ... re=related (Jerry and Layne did an excellent job in this version of the song in MTV's unplugged series)

Yeh, it goes away
All of this and more of nothing in my life
No color clay
Individuality not safe

As of now I bet you got me wrong
So unsure you run from something strong

I can't let go
Threadbare tapestry unwinding slow
Feel a tortured brain
Show your belly like you want me to

As of now I bet you got me wrong
So unsure you run from something strong

I haven't felt like this in so long
Wrong, in a sense too far gone from love
That don't last forever
Something's gotta turn out right

You sugar taste
Sweetness doesn't often touch my face
Stay if you please
You may not be here when I leave

As of now I bet you got me wrong
So unsure we reach for something strong

I haven't felt like this in so long
Wrong, in a sense too far gone from love
Strong, I haven't felt like this in so long
Wrong, in a sense too far gone from love
That don't last forever
Something's gotta turn out right

Hatebreed: Live for this

Let's go!
Live for this, Live, Live
Live for this
Live for this, Live, Live
If you don't live for something, You'll die for nothing.
Through the best and the worst
The struggle and sacrifice.
For the true who've remained and the new blood.
Motivation, undying allegiance
Striving through the hardships and affliction.
(4x)
Every drop of blood
Every bitter tear
Every bead of sweat
I live for this

Live for this, Live, Live
Live for this
Live for this, Live, Live
If you don't live for something you'll die for nothing.

What we have are not possessions we own
It's not weighed by greed or personal gain
This is real a desire for freedom.
A place apart from a world in abandon.
(4x)
Every drop of blood
Every bitter tear
Every bead of sweat
I live for this

(3x)Live for this, Live, Live
If you don't live for something you'll die for nothing.
Live for this, Live, Live
Live for this (echo)
Live for this, Live, Live
I LIVE FOR THIS
(2x)
Every drop of blood
Every bitter tear
Every bead of sweat
I live for this

Flogging Molly

What's Left Of The Flag lyrics

His eyes they close and his last breath spoke,
He had seen all to be seen
A life once full, now an empty vase
Wilt the blossoms on his early grave

Walk away me boy, walk away me boy
And by morning we'll be free
Wipe that golden tear from your mother dear
And raise what's left of the flag for me

Then the rosary beads count them one, two, three
Fell apart as they hit the floor
In our garb of black we must pay respect
to the color we're born to mourn
Walk away me boys, walk away me boys
And by morning we'll be free
Wipe that golden tear from your mother dear
And raise what's left of the flag for me

In his place there grew an angry festered wound
Filled with hatred and remorse
Where I'd pick and scratch till the blood it matched
The silent rage now that fills my lungs
For there are many ways to kill a man they say
With bayonet, axe, or sword
But son a bullet fired from a shapeless guise
Leaves but the shell of a Thompson gun

Walk away me boys, walk away me boys
And by morning we'll be free
Wipe that golden tear from your mother dear
And raise what's left of the flag for me

From the East out to the Western shore
Where many men and many more will fall
But no angel flies with me tonight
Till freedom reigns on all
And curse the name for which we slaved our days
Till every man shall his kingdom come
But sure as night turns day
Ends the passion play
Oh my god what have they done
With madman's rage, well they dug our graves
But the dead rise again you fools

Walk away me boy, walk away me boys
And by morning we'll be free
Wipe that golden tear from your mother dear
And raise what's left of the flag for me

Walk away me boys, walk away me boys
And by morning we'll be free
Wipe that golden tear from your mother dear
And raise what's left of the flag for me

Well since I've had the song playing in my head the past two days here it is

Beth by Kiss

Beth, I hear you callin'
But I can't come home right now
Me and the boys are playin'
And we just can't find the sound
Just a few more hours
And I'll be right home to you
I think I hear them callin'
Oh, Beth what can I do
Beth what can I do

You say you feel so empty
That our house just ain't a home
And I'm always somewhere else
And you're always there alone

Just a few more hours
And I'll be right home to you
I think I hear them callin'
Oh, Beth what can I do
Beth what can I do

Beth, I know you're lonely
And I hope you'll be alright
'Cause me and the boys will be playin'
All night
Jenny

"Yes I am a pirate,
200 years too late.
The cannon don't thunder,
there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over forty victim of fate.
Arriving too late, arriving too late"

More appropriate "Gypsies in the Palace" by Buffet

Look at all this liquor
Look at all this food
It's only gonna go to waste
We're not really being rude
But the good stuff's in his closet, I swear he wouldn't mind
Hell we'll just shoot the lock off, I do it all the time

We're gypsies in the palace, He's left us here alone
The Order of the Sleepless Knights
Will now assume the throne
We ain't got no money, we ain't got no right
But we're gypsies in the palace, we got it all tonight

There's damsels in distress up there
And we got all this beer
We'll free them from their condos
Bring 'em over here
We'll show them his gold records
Play his music loud
We'll party just like Bubba does
We'll do the old man proud

We're gypsies in the palace, there ain't no wrong or right
We're gypsies in the palace, and a' goin' wild tonight

He's the greatest guy to work for, man he's really cool
Hey Snake this party's gettin' dull
Throw someone in the pool
Let's all take our clothes off and form a conga line
Watch out for that broken glass, hey Snake we need more wine

We're gypsies in the palace, there ain't no wrong or right
We're gypsies in the palace, and we're raisin' hell tonight

Ahhhhh Yes. Here's another one you will know then.

"I don't wanna live on that kinda island,
I don't wanna swim in a roped off sea,
It's too much for me, too much for me
I gotta live where the wind and the water are free"

Lotta livin' in that man's 60 odd years. Good livin' too! :(

Hung Low wrote:In the late 90's I used to install the annuals at his house in Palm Beach when I had my business. He likes Cabbage Begonias, multicolored... and lots of them. ($$$)

He use to own a plantation in Thomasville, GA where I use to live (wife # 2). He use to frequent a little BBQ place called "JB's BBQ" (just a coincidence) which was owned by a former VietNam SF. We'd walk in and there's JB slappin' down some ribs.

I hope the song lyrics that many of our fellow Americans will find special going forward is "The Who's"
