I live in Roswell now, but have tenants in Cobb. They sent me pictures yesterday of some of the crap going on over there. This is by far the worst I've seen since coming to the ATL 23 years ago.....

I was in helen march of last year for Counterdrug AT. I remember eating at that restaraunt next to the river.

Yeah, I've eaten there a couple times as well. The normal height for the river is about 6-8 feet below that deck i think, so yeah the water is a "little" high.

Rumor has it that the deluge will subside in the next 36 hours.

It's reminding me of the floods back in '94. The CREEK behind my house in Jonesboro was a good 75 yards, downhill, from the house. We ended up with rapids 10 feet from my basement door. I'm still waiting on Kanye West to take the mic from Helen and Carrolton, GA. and say "I'll let you talk in a minute, I'm sorry, but New Orleans had one of the best floods of all time."

OK, just go to WSBTV.com and look at the slideshows. There are 12 right now with 101 pics each. This is pure craziness. there are rapids in places where water doesn't normally even flow.

There is one picture of a jackass in a kayak on the Chatooga. During normal flow the Chatooga has some good class 4 & 5 rapids. In one of the slideshows there is a scene that can only be described as a Class 12.
