Combat Goggles

Before my son became a Ranger, I gave him a pair of Wiley goggles for Christmas. They are still brand new in the box. Are these something he will ever be able to wear as a Ranger ( he mentioned something about Oakley's being specified)? He's home going thru some stuff and we are trying to decide whether to keep them or put on ebay.
