XLT580 is a Paratrooper

Post by RangerJurena »

See that man in the red beret, jumping's how he earns his pay.
He is the best that he can be, Army Airborne Infantry!

Recieved this from XLT580 yesterday.

I graduate Airborne School tomorrow. It has been a three week vacation for sure! PT was little to nonexistent, and PLF training is a real pain in the butt. But I had a great time come this last week of jumping. The feeling the first few seconds is better than anything I have ever experienced in my life. Once we got the first two weeks out of the way and some of the mindless repetition over with life got real good. All my jumps went flawlessly but I have been fighting a strained hip flexer since week one of PLFs. Really making flutter kicks and situps a pain but I am not worried about it affecting my performance at RIP. Stay here at Airborne until Tuesday when the RIP Cadre come take me to my final home here at Ft. Benning.

Still keeping my feet and knees together and pumped for RIP!

Good Stuff Ryan. Keep your eye on the prize and never quit!

Guess my business travels caused me to miss this thread. While the bowling ball analogy is cute...I mean, nothing like quoting yourself..

You call him what you want, I'll call him what I want. The generic definition would be a soldier trained in parachuting.

If we can't call him a paratrooper, then we can't call many around here Rangers.
