Affirm, with 550 cord mods and minus 2 ammo pouches, first aid pouch, a canteen and right angle flashlight and other stuff.....
So you're saying you left without turning in issued equipment? That'll be one statement of charges for you and we'll just go with today's prices for that too.

Yeah, with the 6 million pouches we get now, I had to sell my car, get a second mortgage, and sell a baby (not mine), and I'm pretty sure I STILL owe.

My vest has double that shit on it now. But I always carry way to much shit.
We weren't allowed to drink back then. Carrying to much water takes all the fun out of road marches. Everyone carried IV's, and if you had a heat casualty guys were falling over each other to get to the guy, so you could stick him. I had a guy in my squad that went tits up after a 10 mile perimeter road march. When we got back into the barracks I came into his room and 3 guys from the squad had all stuck him.lol

I have an old 50 cal ammo can out in my garrage, and it has tent pegs, elephant rubbers, still wrapped in paper (Those are waterproof bags for you new guys), bug juice, circa 1974, heat tabs and one of those straps that you wrapped around your ruck, to hold your 2 qt. on. Forget what it was called. Was thinking about donating it all to the Smithsonian.

Yeah I got that. We did the same thing when we wore LCE's, yes old fuckers you arent the only ones to have ever humped a ruck or wore LCE's, or actually slept in a patrol base that was in the shape of a triangle with the weapons squad at the apexes. I actually bought an entire set of TA-50 to turn in to CIF.
Nice kit Zonk. 8)
Amazing there was anything left for you youngins to use. I saw many a duce and a half load of brand new, never used butt packs thrown away and burned in Vietnam.

Me, I'm surprised you only had two ammo pouches. I carried 4.
