Ranger Jim,

We're going over to the RIP barracks after class 12-08 graduates next Friday. My class, 01-09, begins the following Monday.

keeps smiling. you are standing at the door to the best part of your life. if you open the door and step through is to be seen. remember all of it. the pain will fade, but remember it. it's worth it later.

:(

Rangers,

Today was catostrophic. For PT, we were doing sprints up and down Cardiac Hill. On the way back, we did buddy carries up that hill that leads to the PT field. I stepped in a pot hole and my foot got caught. I felt a really sharp pain and dropped my Ranger buddy. I just talked to one of the Sergeants at the ROC and he wants me to get x-rays tomorrow to see if I have a hairline crack in my foot. It hurts like hell whenever I put pressure on it and it's pretty bruised up.

This is a minor setback. I'll post more tomorrow after I learn more. Right now, I'm trying to stay off of it as much as possible.

it can remain a minor setback if you can keep a good attitude, regardless of how bad it is. don't quit on yourself now.

You'll be fine. Even if you have to hold for the next RIP class - you're getting paid to do cool shit. Stay focused. Scan your sector. That 50 meter target seems like a bitch right now, but remember there is a 300 meter target out there that has your name on it.

Stay focused. Do not let this little setback change your course.

DRM,
Sounds like your balls just dropped. Keep the attitude and drive on. Just don't outwardly show the attitude as it will put a bullseye on you that you will never be able to shake.
