I was under the impression that the Marines also fought at Dien Bien Phu in the late 60s but may have mixed the name on this issue.

Ah yes, forgot about the bubble. Though if I'm not mistaken, the "lead sled" isn't authorized either, just the standard Army jump wings in its place.JLTW!!! wrote:JarHedSolja wrote:Nothing you have done in the Corps transfers over to the Army to wear on any uniform except for ribbons.
Scuba bubble and jump wings would too....although not the "coveted" gold jump wings.

Did the Americans fight another battle at Dien Bien Phu? I know French Paratroops and the Foreign Legion did in the 50's.Chiron wrote:

We may have not been on the ground (intentionally), but Americans were flying the Boxcars and Gooney Birds that were flying in supplies to the Frogs.

Well god damn, haven't seen you around in a while!pzpos360 wrote:Isn't the "lead sled" the same as normal Army jump wings?
We have a CSM in our BCT that wears the N co 173rd combat scroll, I am pretty sure it is not authorized but I don't think anyone is going to tell him to take it off
