Introduction

Post by CQWQ »

Rangers,
My name is Patrick and I'm 26. I'm am a certified EMT-B and going to be graduating from college at the end of December, 2008 and plan on enlisting as 68W with an option 40. I came to your site to learn as much as I could about the process of becoming a Ranger before I enlist. I was ready to enlist twice so far before, but due to a car accident and then a motorcycle accident I was forced to temporarily put that on hold. Instead of sitting around waiting to get better and doing nothing, I figured I would strengthen my mind and go back to college to finish my degree. I'm now fully recovered and staring to get back in shape. Thanks to the information i have found on this site I have been talking to a recruiter and getting squared away. He is working on helping me obtaining an option 40, a waiver for the plate in my wrist and possibly DEPing a month before I graduate. Thank you to all the Rangers who have posted information on this forum and to all the Rangers who have served and who are currently serving our nation.

Patrick,
A man has but one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression. You have succeeded and earned a GO at this station. The DEPs will be along shortly to welcome you into their fold. Please tell us the results of your latest PT test. Has your recruiter administered one? If not please self administer one and post your results here. Never, never quit!

Welcome and thanks for your desire to become an Army Ranger. Keep us posted on your progress with your recruiter and agree to nothing other than the contract you want. Be sure to read the ROE PM I have sent you.

Ranger Jim,
My apologies for the delay in response time. My recruiter has not administered a PT test as of yet.
My self administered PT test results are as follows:
2 minute Push-ups: 57
2 minute sit-ups: 75
2 mile run: 15:03
5 pull-ups directly following 2 mile run
Thank you Rangers and DEPs for the welcome.
