Great shooting!!!

I have just busted my cherry running in the games. I have not shot any "legit" matches yet, mostly all club stuff locally here. I am still a newb, learning the rules.

Most of the stuff we shoot here, are "outlaw" type IDPA based matches, where the stages are all "defensive" and it's more of a run-what-ya-brung type bunch.

I have run my 1911 with 10 round mags, as well as my Glock 34. I hope to do some USPSA stuff, all production, in the future.

The hardest part for me, is transitioning from a "tactical" shooter, to a "competition" shooter.

It is just SO un-natural for me to clear my weapon before re-holstering, to stop the stage.

Fortunately, I don't have many "bad" habits to break.

Any advice you could give me would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers,

Darren
