The biggest back-stabbing, blue-falcon POS that I know is named Bowers - he's already in the Army. I hope you're not related to him.

I'd like to thank everyone again for the welcomes. This board, though it may appear strict and unforgiving at times, is by far the best online group of people I have had the privelege of meeting.

Ranger 42L5V, nobody in my personal Bowers family lineage has served in the Army since the Civil War. It's a Navy family mostly. My father's side (last name Burke though) is Army however. I'm glad I'm not related to a person with such a reputation.

All right Bowers, by this time you need to be a little more detailed in your response. Please self-administer a PT test. I want to see just where you are beginning from. At the same time, tell me your height and weight. Now, truthfully explain what you are doing to prepare yourself for service in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Suspense for this task is midnight, Sunday 14 October 2007. Never, never quit!!!

"I was picked up for RIP thursday. We lost 6 in the first hour in class."

This is a quote from one of our young DEPers on this site that is in the current RIP class.
He will more than likely earn his scroll and tan beret (and the title 'Ranger' under his avatar) in the next few weeks.

You think we are strict and unforgiving here? We're just maintaining the standard and and preparing you for what lies ahead.
Better you get toughened up and better prepared here than get chewed up and spit out at RIP.

Bowers,

There won't be any soft soap or hand holding on this site. If someone calls you a fat fuck they mean it! If the Army will have you then the difficulties that you'll encounter will get progressively harder from basic to AIT to Airborne School to RIP to battalion to Ranger School, on & on.

If you get in shape & stay in shape things are much easier. First you gotta be able to pass the PT requiremenys for each phase whether you're fat or skinny.

Now drop down for a hell of a lot of PUs, then do SUs until your gut screams, then go for a short 2 mile run. Meanwhile get your ass away from the dinner table!

Post your PT score results. It doesnt matter WHO you are related to or not related to. Your future is in YOUR hands. If you want help, post your workout schedule, progress, diet, height and weight. Don't bullshit because if I find out you will be banned. You want a mentor, ask. But quit all the smoke blowing, complimenting, nicey talk shit and get to work. You want to be a Ranger....either get serious with it and us or GTFO. Clear? No PM's, no comments. Just post your shit.
