RIP Week 2 SITREP
RIP Week 2 SITREP
I've made it through two weeks of RIP and I'm still here. The first week mainly consisted of classroom instruction and PT. This past week we did Cole Range. I got to enjoy the experience of hitting the woodline many a time.
Overall, RIP hasn't been nearly as bad as I had it built up in my mind to be. My biggest hurdles have been the running and road marching. My biggest challenge before shipping out was the 5 mile run. I completed the 5 mile run here at RIP with the group finishing in about 38:15. We have our 12 mile road march on Monday and its going to take everything I have to make it. None the less, plently of people quit every day. We started with 154 and are now down to 116. Its mainly about motivation here. Oh, and don't come back an hour late from the land navigation course at Cole Range. Two people got dropped for that crap.
Now its time to get this shit finished up.

Stay focused on the OBJ................Graduating.
The hardest thing about road marching for me was being bored. When I got bored my mind would wander and then start thinking about all the little aches and pains of the road march itself. Find some stupid little something to think about and make a game out of it in your mind. Sing a song or something(but not out loud). Whatever it takes to keep your mind focused on the finish line.
When is this class suppose to graduate, this week or next? I might be able to make it.
