I have been in touch with a couple of RSTA units (25th, 101st, 10th MTN) and the majority of their "recon" guys are 19 series CAV scouts!!! WTF!! How can a guy snoop and poop in a fucking bradley or M113?
If anyone knows of any active duty or National Guard LRS units(11B type 1 each  ), please feel free to post some contact info, I'm trying to get in touch with these guys. Thanks.
Ranger Tenn-RGR, The 151st LRSD out of Indiana (NG) is still a divisional LRS asset, no Cav scouts here. If you're interested in checking us out or just want to hear more, feel free to PM me, I'll give you the contact info for the unit and tell you a little more about us.

I may be wrong but I believe the following NG LRS are still around:

F Co 425th in Michigan
H Co 121st in GA
134th LRSD in NE
I believe that Texas & Iowa still has LRSD

The rest of them I'm not sure. There are several guys from those units on this board.
RS 1-92
1-504 PIR 89-90
3-504 PIR 90-92
H. Co 121 INF (LRSC) 97-00

There is still one in California, the 160th LRSD, kind of in a rebuilding phase as they just redeployed from Bosnia, a couple studs running around in it, setting up a HALO team as well.

G-143 in Houston, TX.

D-151 in Indiana has a Ranger history as it was D Co (abn-ranger) 151 Inf in the '60s when it was the only NG combat unit to be mobilised & serve in RVN as a unit. As we saw at RR'05, they're still a tight unit.
Which I'm sure is not the sort of trivia you're looking for :)

Roger that, we're a pretty tight knit unit. We still have yearly reunions with our D 151 (Ranger) forefathers.

G-143 in Houston isn't a LRS anymore. They are currently G troop, 124 CAV (Brigade Recon Team) and will soon be C troop, 112 CAV (RSTA). As C Troop they will be the dismounted troop for the RSTA Sqd and will be all 11B's as per the MTOE.

I can get you contact info for the unit if you would like.

I believe technically they have lost jump status but I know they did a night jump into Camp Swift last month so they are still jumping.

They will chop over to my battailion sometime this spring and I will know a lot more about it then.

I'm pretty shure they jumped from 47's and know they got a couple guys from one team stuck in some trees off the DZ.

Sorry it took so long for me to get here. The above information is wrong. G Company was disbanded in 2000, but the 143rd Long Range Surveillance Detachement, based out of Camp Mabry (Austin, TX) is still alive and kicking. Many former G Co. soldiers are there now.

We jumped at Camp Swift last monnth static line from C-23B Sherpas. Our MTOE authorizes HALO positions, but we have been unable to get any slots, as the entire National Guard (not including NG SF) gets TWO slots a year. If you are already HALO qualified, I can get you drops.

Along with Indiana, our Detachment will be transforming into a Company (hopefully with G. Co lineage) in the very near future to based out of a yet to be determined location in Texas.

As far as I know, we are the only two Naitonal Guard LRSU's that will remain in existance under the Battlefiled Surveillance Brigades umbrella.
