This site has given me several good hours of fantastic reading. Thank you all again for the warm welcome. I will try my best to become a positive poster... as time allows.

I am in my last semester at DLI, Mastering the Arabic Language. At my age, I am competing with 18-20 year olds... and it AIN'T easy! 8)

That goddamn place was almost the death of me, and German was only 8 months. Arabic at one year is MUCH more than I think I could have stood! YOU DA MAN!
Actually, it's 63 weeks... if you don't recycle. I have about four months of class left before I graduate. But, I am facing knee surgery on my left knee so I can go back on Jump Status. Torn MCL / LCL and flap tears in my meniscus... if that happens, I may roll back a bit so I can heal.

Getting OLD SUCKS!!!

The OG-107's went out in 87 or 88 I think. They were not authorized when I went to Ranger School. The guys in the front row in OG's are Canadians...

Looking back on that picture... I can't believe how damn skinny I was!

Then again, I was only 23 years old. :shock:

I was probably the last person in 3rd Bn to wear OG107's in school. I had to borrow BDU's to wear to graduation. The Regt changed over will I was in Pre-Ranger.

Zonk!!!, run like hell back to the hooch, crawl back into the rack and sleep at the postion of attention. What a great way to do Bn PT...as Buck would say "the finger drill".....
