Term of Enlistment

Post by Atrax »

I read through all ten pages in this section and couldn't find this posted already, so hopefully this isn't a repeat. Is it possible to sign an 11X Option 40 contract with a enlistment duration of 3 years? A recruiter i've been talking to says I might be able to get it, but that most such contracts are for 4 years. He seems iffy on this point, so I was hoping for a more definitive answer. Any help is appreciated.

Plan on going for 4.

3 is an oddball number, it's kinda like a 3 dollar bill.........it's queer!

and be ready for it to read 4 years, 17 (ish) weeks. so the OSUT, BAT, and RIP get roled up. essentially, 4 years upon arival at your first unit (unless things have changed in the last 15 years).

I have heard of only one person going to Batt that didn't sign a four year. Williams and I went to RIP at the same time and he signed a 2 year +17 week drug deal. That was back in the early 90's.

Do not expect the same.
