Welcome. please allow me to mention to the unknowing that the Marines got their title "Devil Dogs" in WWI when they were two of the regiments in the 2d (USArmy) Infantry Division -- yeah, the Indian Head. It was commanded by MG Lejune -- later the commandant of USMC.

That and Marines really dont like it when you ask them who conducted the largest Amphib Operation in history.
