In 50 words or less tell us what you've learned from this DEP who failed to heed our advice. And don't bother writing any "sound good" bullshit dribble.
Ranger Bugsy,
From the post I learned that you need to make time for PT whenever possible, push yourself to your limits and always keep improving. I also learned that PT tests at any level are not to be taken lightly, and that we should never let our guards down. If a Ranger is what we truly want to be, we need to put the work in pre-season, during the season, and come to PT tests, or tests of any kind with a game face on.
There are two kinds of people. Those that are going to be a Ranger, and those who are going to make excuses of why they AREN'T a Ranger. I don't want to be the latter of the two, for failing the PT Test. The most basic challenge of them all.
The Army is a new lifestyle that we all signed up for. EMBRACE IT. Make the most out of it. If you're capable of becoming a Ranger and have the mindset, it will happen. If not, we all still have the duty of giving our best.
And you can never PT enough. This seems to have an avoidable way of biting people in the ass.
His failed attemp at the PT test has shown me that I need to work a lot harder than I have to. If your body is not up to par at that point you need to work you ass off any chance you have.
Pushing Ranger Bugsy.

Whatever It Takes
Never Quit. Never Give In. Never Back Down.
What I learned. This is a lesson in pride and honor. He failed plain and simple but he had the courage to accept his failure and drive on. He didn't come with some BS excuse and he didn't give up. He took his failure and turned it into a desire the be the best soldier he could be in the 3rd ID. Dispite his failure he is an inspiration to me. (If he does what he says he is going to do that is) Drive on and never give up. No matter where you are be the best.
