Fuck, I was born and raised in Oakland............ its about fuckin time someone other than me decided to represent the "town" as a Army Ranger.

When I ets'd a Regnar from Recon asked me "Ranger Bugsy" where are you ets'in to..........my reply Oakland California SGT!!!. His reply...........fuck you're gonna need all your Rangers skills for sure in that fuckin town. My response............Hooah SGT!!!.....I'm good to go..........(his response............You damn straight there Ranger) the last thing fuckin thing I ever heard before I left Regiment. 8)

Now that story was the best thing I've heard all day (you weren't up by Skyline Drive we're you Regnar)?

sorry to hear you didn't catch the bad guy though

I was pool side just the other day at the soon-to-be famous Hooters Hotel/Casino here in 'Vegas and was aproached by a guy that worked there who recognized my tattoo. I asked him for his coin and he said he had recently gotten out and hadn't run into any Rangers and had stopped carrying it every day.

I told him since they have the best chicken wings in town 8) that he better have his coin next time I was there. I'll try to drag his butt over to the site since he was complaining about missing the brotherhood as well.

coin check

Post by minus25 »

While teaching scuba at Ft Lewis in the 90's I did quite a few Ranger classes. First day of pool sessions I would always do a few basic skills with the boys and then line them up underwater and do a coin check. Underwater push-ups would follow. Still carrying the coin after almost 30 years!!!!

I used to think carving a slit in your soap while takin a shower was good enough but I see the standards have just gone up a notch

hahahahahaha!!!!
The BEST coin check ever for me was after TWICE in one week I caught my Squad Leader without coin.

He was plotting for WEEKS to get me back. He thought he had me when I was taking a shower. He CHECKED my soap bar while I was in the shower and then I heard the most beautiful sound......... over 75 coins drop and echoing in the tile bathroom as most of the company had been assembled in that hallway bathroom.

My coin was between the cracks of my ass.

It is still my most memorable coin, I treasure it even more than the one I got from the Regimental CSM.

I was butt naked in the shower standing over and looking down on 75 or so Rangers on that bathroom floor doing elevated pushups.

Stupidest thing I ever did as a Ranger. GOD did I pay for that stunt later !!!!

Aco Mortars was bad about the shower coin check. Use to try and get the COC in there all the time. I did the same thing that RTO did.

They looked at my soap dish to see if I had mine and couldn't see it and coined the hell out of me. I unclenched my ass cheeks and it feel out on the shower floor.

Ever mother fucker in there that dropped a coin did 52+1, to include the PL and PSG!

That put a stop to coining in the shower.
