.40 S&W is a caliber the Glock 22 is chambered in. Usually 165gr to 180gr bullet in a cartridge about 1.135 inches long. Kind of a weaker, shorter 10mm.

Hope that makes sense? Just like the .223 is the .223 Remington and the .308 is the .308 Winchester. Same holds true of the newer .357 auto cartridge with the name of .357 SIG to denote the auto cartridge not the wheel gun cartridge.
See Vee! You ask and you recieve. BTW there is a pond a Fort Drum and I fished in it. There's also a huge lake on the southern side of post that I've helocasted in. I'm interested to see what stories he tells you next.

That makes sense.

I'm kinda new to the handgun scene.....but now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense. Same thing with the rounds for my hunting rifle. I wasn't being a smartass...it just sounded weird.

Thanks for the info.

All of you except Zonk the Powerful who was being a smartass!

Huh? 8)
Not to defend Zonk...but I believe he was giving you a compliment on actually having the balls for admitting you didn't know what .40 S&W meant on ammo. If I'm wrong (which I'm never wrong), Then yeah he is a smartass :P

I'll always be the first to admit being a dumbass!

That way.....you learn something new....and people tell you you have balls for admitting it.

Otherwise......they just laugh and call you a dumbass.
