the best Birthday present ever.

Post by fourthandonly »

I got the greatest birthday present I have ever gotten today... at 1000 on 24 MAR 06 I was authorized to wear the TAN BERET and the 2nd Bn Ranger Scroll. I graduated RIP this morning on the same day that I turned 23 years old. I don't know if it's fate or just really good luck but through all the holdovers and details and other random bull-shit I went through, it was all worth it for the distinct honor of being able to join the elite society of the US Army Rangers! I also got the Bat of my choice... 2nd Bat all the way!!! And I am looking forward to getting the best training the Army has to offer. I know the road ahead of me will be a tough one, and that is the exact reason that I chose the Ranger contract... because I wanted to strive to be the best I could be. I just want to thank all Rangers past, present, and future for their outstanding service and dedication and I just hope that I can live up to the Ranger tradition. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
