It only makes sense that when the ages are the same that you should be able to see the same thing. Thats if it actually works that way, which doesn't make sense. It seems to me that if you set your profile to be private that nobody can see it except who you want.

Can any other Members here that are also members over there check to see if there account works differently than mine. Or am I the exception to the rule for some reason! :roll:

Ranger AbnRgr289,

It's my understanding that MySpace's entire take on things are that it's a public advertising site, therefor it only makes sense to not allow anyone over a certain age to be allowed to set their profile to private.

There was a special on Dateline about a week ago where a lot of pediphiles were caught trying to rape small children through MySpace, it was pretty disturbing and it's for this very reason that profiles at age 15 and under are set to private.

I believe that anyone under the age of 18 who is not legally an adult can also view other underage accounts, however, if your account is originally set to an older age you need to wait for a MySpace admin to actually change your account settings, regardless of changing your age back down or not.

I've done research into this as I use my account to keep in touch with friends who do not live in the area and family members and was wanting to set it to Private, however it's a violation of the Terms Of Service to set your account to private and lie about your age.
