6', 235lbs...I'm big enough that running fast is not necessary to survive. Guess what I trying to say is that if this was jail, you'd be holding my belt loop sweety!

It's not apparent from the picture, but does it strap around the chest, or on the wrist? Also, is it a paid subscription to mb.com or is it included with the purchase?
The MB membership is free for the basic level. There is a chest strap for the heart monitor

Ranger Silverback and Ranger Wellfed, how have your experiences been now that you have had some more time to use this. I am thinking about purchasing a HR monitor in the near future and am interested in this model.

Got it a couple days ago...and I've used it twice so far, I've had a HR monitor (Polar) for a while and can't see any other way to exercise and work out. This one is heads above what I've ever used. It tells you so much more, HR average, virtual partner is great and keeps you from cheating yourself. You can upload from the 301 to your computer and automatically shows your route on desired map (I use google earth) and shows you your split times at certain locations. Silverback has had his a month or so longer and I'm still learning all the things it can do. It comes with workout software (maps from motionbased.com website), I use different software than what came with it called sporttracks and it even includes weather data, elevation etc. The software is a personal preference. Helps me get motivated to run and see how well I've done or how much I shamed.
