Hey Shwick, I've tried to drop you a hint.
This isn't some cutsie fucking teeny-bopper board.

You know all that patrol shit is just adventure racing for "Contact adverse" units. When I was tactically handicapped (LRS) I spent Eight beautiful Scottish days and nights hiding from some Blue Belts. There were times I wished I could just initiate with a machine gun (that we didn't have) and slaughter the whole lot of 'em.

Just a note our ressupply burned in so we had to thrash about on 4 days worth of rations.

Was on a team that competed in I want to say Oct of 94, have to check the date. We got a silver. I was told only two teams got a silver that year, and no golds, but don’t know for sure Just know you basic dismounted recon tactics and be in great shape. Thing is I am told the event changes every year so you have to flexible and well rounded.

Event when I did it went something like this

movement to passage of line
passage of lines
movement to close recky
movement to help in defense of a town
range time with arty on advancing targets.
pass though a minefield
movement to exfil

The town and the recky may be backwards in order and I am sure I am leaving something out

I think my biggest gripe looking back is that everyone was stoked and doing extra PT to go. Then when we left we were there for almost 2 weeks before the event started. That sucked. Brit fucking food and no real place to continue training, so I felt smoked when I started the event. If we would have hit the ground and started the event within 24 hrs I think we would have had a much stronger showing

Agreed-the water also sucked so we were dehydrated.
