Newbie to this board

Post by kimejs »

Good Day all,

My name is Erik, I'm a 25 years old prior service member who recently decided to take the commissioned route in the army. I am married with no kids. I own a small business at the moment and very bored with it although it does provide me a good living. I miss the military life and after many months of thinking and talking to my wife about it, I've finally decided to join again. My goal is to pursue a career in the military like most of you folks because I know that is what I want to do. I have been out from the Marines for about 2 years. My previous MOS in the Marine Corps was administration and I learned that I was not the desk type after I signed the contract in 99. While I was in the Marine corps, I was attached to the infantry unit in hawaii and met some people who went through the ranger course as Force recon members. I believe that is one of the reason why I would like this challenge. Although this might sound corny, I feel that i must serve. I love the camaraderie and prestige that only military has to offer. I'm looking forward of attending Ranger school once I have a chance to do so, once I attend all the schools necessary after receiving my commission. I hope to get as much information and I believe I will after slight observance of this board. Thank you.

I hope you have thick skin leatherneck. Welcome to Army Ranger, oh and btw, I noticed you didn't capitalize Ranger in one of your sentences (you did later on) but you did make a point to capitalize Force but not "Recon".

Knock out 50 and then prepare to do more.

Kime,

Keep your head about you here. The Rangers don't screw around and when Ranger Bugsy said to knock out fifty he meant it and expected it. Integrity.

Read the FAQ's, get an avatar and make sure you have used the search command before asking questions.

Foremost remember that the Rangers are not as kind or forgiving as I am.

Ranger Matador 275,

It was a misunderstanding on another board that does not possess an introduction section. Kime took action to rectify his misplaced steps.

Besides, I can't let a Brother be without the knowledge that rounds will be coming down range if he were to post in the same manner here.
