Don't worry about it, wearing on those edges won't change your tolerances or headspacing any. You're good to go.

I would email the pics to Springfield. Being that it is a new design I am sure they would be interested. Maybe the wear in that spot wont change the tolerances but it could be an indication the steel is to brittle in that spot and could be a sign of future failure.
