I've had the oakley boots for about a month now (the made in the US version, $100). The only complaint that I have is they suck in wet weather. No fucking traction! In the same turn, I wouldn't use them outside of an urban environment. I just don't think the soft leather and soles would hold up.

Spent a year over in Afghanistan and ended up getting a pair of Vasque Zephyrs issued to me by a 3rd group team. They are very light and durable. They held up good in that terrain until it got real cold. They do not have any insulation. Then our Airforce TACP gave me his extra pair of Lowa Scout's. These did better in the cold and are a more solid pair of boots that require a bit more breaking in. Both pairs of boots can handle humping and urban environments. I still have both pairs and I take them out hunting and hiking on a regular basis and both are holding up quite well.
