Welcome Warrior. The 173 on my handle was my roster number in Ranger School. Needless to say we still had some ol SkySoldiers as RI's back then and max smoke was brought upon my weary soul/sole (?) by those erstwhile paratroopers. They figured I had to earn that worthy sobriquet of being "ROSTER NUMBER 173". Hell I would have been just as happy being plain ol '99' or '69' or something which didnt attract as much flame! <sigh> not to be so henceforth to remind me of those lovely days (and frankly I just cant forget!) I retain the number. No disrespect intended.

Welcome
SSK,
First off- Welcome to the group. Your amongst the best of the best and the best that ever were. I wish you the best in your searchs to place your brother (RIP) in the highest place that he earned.
I'm far from a FOG. Closer to a FNG, so the wisdom from you and the other old salty dogs is great.
I'm sure you'll not only find the kind words a comfort but all the harassment the same.
Remember, a Ranger/Soldier is never dead until he is forgotten!

Your intro is a NOGO.
Make your own intro (in a separate topic) & give us at least a brief description of your time in the military.
SkysoldierKim has not been back since 14 JUL, 2005.
John Rowlands was never a member on this site, nor do we know anything about him.
