psssssst.......when you speak with any Ranger on this forum, we ask you to address him with his title. So, when you speak with Bugsy, you would address him as Ranger Bugsy. ok?

Welcome pogue. Seems like you got a good outlook.
It sounds as though you stumbled on the 'back door' to becoming a Ranger. If I were you, I'd become the biggest pain in the neck for your 1SG. Ensure that he understands that you want to become an 11B Ranger and maybe he'll help you to change your MOS. There are no guarantees but in the meantime, if you excell at RIP, you'll be doing yourself a big favor.
