Ranger Tab is an award for completing and graduating from a school. SF Tab is the same, but it is also an award signifying acceptance or assignment of 18 series MOS and assignment to the Special Forces Branch.
One who is a graduate of both can wear both tabs at the same time.

You are WRONG! Don't answer questions you are not qualified to answer and give people the wrong information. If the 'airborne tab' is an award, then why is that Rangers, who are all Airborne qualified, don't wear the airborne 'tab', as you call it?
The Ranger and SF Tabs are permanent awards. Therefore, they are always worn, as are jumpwings or jumpmaster wings.
The so called 'airborne tab' is NOT an award, it is a component, or part of, the unit insignia. Therefore, it is Issued, and NOT Earned!
If you are assigned to an airborne unit where the airborne tab is a part of the unit insignia, you wear it, whether you are airborne qualified or NOT. When you leave the unit, you do NOT wear the 'airborne tab', if the unit you are going to does not have the airborne tab as part of the unit insignia.
Two examples of this are the 82nd Airborne and Special Forces units where the 'airborne tab' is part of the unit insignia.
