Sure, you can go to ROP from West Point ....AFTER you are a successful PLT LDR in another unit. that should take about 2 years AFTER you graduate.

Then AFTER your Bn Commander releases you ....sure you can go.

You're comparing apples and oranges.


The Navy decided they would let O-1's attend BUD/S. Their call to make.

The Army decided it did NOT want an O-1 leading professional death bringers without having led a conventional Platoon SUCCESSFULLY first.
