Phantom Warriors
I just picked up Gary Linderer's Phantom Warriors Book Two. The first book was really good. It has stories from numerous Ranger, LRP, and LRRP units. i would definatley recommended these books

Blood on the Risers is a great book. However, the Ranger portions of the book were about C/75 Rangers, not N/75. The difference being that C/75 was a corps level Ranger company, while N/75 was a brigade level company. Second, "Ghost Soldiers" is an excellent book, a story of a classic special operations mission. The assault element commander, CPT Robert Prince, is a Tacoma, WA native and spoke for about an hour at my EIB award ceremony in 1998. Definitely a very interesting man.
I recently just completed reading my 1st book on the subject in more than 5 years and I am very happy I did. It's title is about my counterparts in the Marines in I (eye) Corp not too far from L co 75th Inf (Ranger's) aka known as the 101st "Eyes of the Eagle".
"Force Recon Command" by Lt Col Alex Lee, USMC (Retired). Although I had to familarize myself with the USMC Acroynoms, it was well worth the reading. Alex Lee paints such a clear concise picture of all he speaks, it is as though you are his aide and seeing all he speaks of though his eyes. I highly recommend this book to all.

While reading another Marine "Force Recon" book I found a paragraph about my unit, 4th Infantry Division that I would like to print here.
While commanding the U.S. Army 4th Infantry Division in II (double eye) Corps in 1967, however, General Peers proved differently. He adopted the small teams on a division-wide scale, and his division included a substantial percentage of two year draftees. It was important that they believe they could do the job, and that they were not really all alone. The division went on to establish an extrodinary record.

Another good one is Rangers of WW2. It starts from the start of the Battalions all the way through the war.
Hell in a very small place is awsome. It is about the French Paratroopers and Foreign Legion during the battle of Dien Bien Phu in Indochina.
