What would you do?

Post by JoBa »

Note: This is a purely hypothetical situation, it is not real.

A crazy looking character is walking toward you, he is about twenty five feet away when you first notice him. He is angry, he is glaring at you, and he is carrying a baseball bat. You do not have a gun.

Your best option in this situation and your best chance for survival is to:

1. Call 911 on your cell phone

2. Run, except you do not think you could outrun him due to your bad leg.

3. Try to reason with him.

4. Pick up the four foot long 2 X 4 that is laying on the ground and start advancing toward him with your own angry glare.

5. Ignore him.

6. Pray

Never happen, I don't go anywhere I can't carry. I haven't been called for jury duty in many years. Disabilities prevent me from running and exempt me from jury duty.

Try to stay within the bounds of the scenerio, answer as best you can with the intel given. Remember, this is a hypothetical situation.

I drop my pants and display my junk. Batman is so in awe, his jaw and his Louisville Slugger both hit the pavement at the same time. He soon collapses into a pool of blubbering jealousy, sucking his thumb and whining for his mommy. I then let him have a steel toe right in the crotch seam. He screams a 110 decibel blood curdler, then passes out, then I'm outta there. End of story.

I posed the exact same question on three other boards.

A pilots forum

A paratroopers forum

A picture framers forum.

What I am trying to prove is that most all of us would meet force with equal or greater force. The answer to that, on this forum, is a no brainier, same on the paratroopers forum.

However, pilots and picture framers, maybe not. Surprisingly pilots and picture framers so far, for the most part, are opting for an aggressive solution

While all the liberals are crying about disarming America, and calling the authorities for help instead of acting on their own, most everyone, so far, on all four forums, liberals included, are picking option # 4 or coming up with their own equally aggressive solution.

It boils down to most would pick a weapon of their own to deal with the crazy guy, even the picture framers.

So why are all those politicians and girlie men demanding the nation be disarmed?
