When I was a tread head in 1967 this was our secondary weapon. As a blow back weapon is was subject to continue firing even if you stopped pulling the trigger. We were trained to take out the magazine to end the firing; very much like breaking the links on an overheated barrel on a machinegun.Icepick wrote:.45 cal grease gun

My favorite weapon of all times... the one that hits the target...
Re: What is your favorite weapon of all time?
I can't decide. Either the 357 on my night stand, the 12 gauge under my bed,the 308 in the closet ,or maybe the 9mm in my pants. Yes, I have problems.

My favorite is not necessarily the best as situation would dictate. Yet I always loved the
M-14!! In the suck I would always jump at the chance to carry it. Also I made great use of the M-14 along with the M-60 as supporting fire. It’s long been replaced but I loved that weapon.

One of my first jobs after returning from Vietnam in 1971 was working at a custom knife shop in Underground Atlanta. You know, there are some very strange people into knives, I mean ones who are really, really, really into knives.shutthefrontdoor wrote:Beshara Custom XSF-1
