Suggestions for places to visit.......

Post by Jenny Lynn »

If you could only visit one place in the World where would it be?

I figured many of the Rangers, Veterans and Active Duty Soldiers here at ArmyRanger.com are experienced World-Wide travelers, for those of us who have not seen the places you have outside the Continential United States where would you suggest for people to visit?

Thanks, Jenny

Ireland. Beautiful country due to little or no industry. Lots of beer, and the culture thrives upon it. They speak English, along with their native tongue. Excellent music. They love tourists.

you chose poorly. my trip to one of those was canceled due to a lack of interest on the host's part I believe.

Germany, Belgium and Spain are always nice to visit. I would include France, but the people in general suck.

My home country of Scotland is great, I've been there a half dozen or so times, also have relatives there and my niece just got back, spending 3 months there this summer.

My personal favorite spot I've ever been is Reykjavík, Iceland.
Great people and the scenery is spectacular. I would go back in a heartbeat and would consider living there.

I lived in Augsburg, Germany for 5 years and am rather partial to pretty much anywhere within about a 2-3 hour drive of Southern Bavaria.

Gee whiz, after visiting many places here (in U.S.) & South East Asia I found visiting places in the United States the best of all (with one exception).

In Acapulco, Mexico, I shat all over.

In S.E. Asia, they shot at me.

In Japan they took my $. I bought a Seiko watch. :o

In Hawaii on way OverSeas, I wasn't allowed a drink in a re-fueling stop at Honolulu Airport since I was not 21 y.o. The air was oppressively hot & humid & I swore never to return voluntarily (& I haven't).
