Did any of you hate JRTC (Fort Polk) as much as I did?

I had fun there except for the OC that couldn’t seem to carry more than two days of food in his ruck. So the hero walks to the nearest road and sits there till someone brings him food. Of course while he is sitting there opfor walks by doing a patrol. It went down hill from there.

Doing coordinated ilum at the opposite ends of the box was fun. I don’t think the guy on the atv had as mush fun as we did. Ran him back and forth quite a bit.

the above was at chaffe

Polk wasn’t bad except for the 13" of rain in 24 hours and needing Bubba around to translate with the locals.

I got an impact Arcom there as an E-4 for accurately completing 40+ fire missions with a mortar ballistic computer on each thigh and 2 different FO teams in each ear with a split section. That was cool, other than that Polk fucking sucked!!

An 82nd squad refused to do a night tactical jump there and a 3rd Batt hooah was hung and killed by his miles gear fast roping. Then there was the Pegasus club, that is a whole different story

Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Don't worry, Sailor. You didn't miss anything. JRTC is a complete gaggle.

At least, it was when I was there.
