Jungle School JOTC
Moderator: Site Admin
Did it every year I was stationed there, and when I wasn't in the course, I was playing OP-4. Went again in 99 or 98 with 1/5 Inf while at Lewis. loved it there, (Panama) good training and good times......................

Black Palm, 7 second frogs, howling monkeys, paratrooper ants, bushmaster snakes, humping up and down hills, getting stuck in the swamps, waterborne training, falling down alot, ferdelance snakes, prickly heat, using machetes to cut through the jungle, mines & booby traps classes, air assault ops training, five dolar hookers...all that.
Good times.

With that being said I don't feel that conversation about "Five Dollar Hookers" is appropriate.
For the record, I never partook of the prostitutes.

smokn38,
I ask you that because I was there in June of 1990 and I think our OPFOR was the 1/508 out of Fort Davis.
But on a night ambush that we were doing...before any shooting started, we heard these death like screams. So we indexed.
Found out later that one of the OPFOR guys was stung by some uber jungle scorpion or something. LOL
Poor guy.

PANAMA
1979
I watched an RTO step into a mud chute like on "Romancing the Stone"
Slid 30-40 feet into a hugh pool of water.
Putting emtpy beer cans in the cannon the night before Reveille and watching the incident the next morning.
One on the "Docs" stealing the Panamanian flag.
It was $8.00
Columbians.
