DOHS Placing Huge Ammo Orders

In a recent press release from the ammunition manufacturer ATK, it was announced that The Department of Homeland Security had placed a purchase order for 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition. They have also placed an open bid for 175 Million rounds of .223 ammo.

Why do they need it? Now there's all that stuff online about FEMA Corps. I've seen photos of young hispanics in uniforms wielding MP-5's

A stand-up fight between the Military (not the DoD) and whatever "Civilian equivalent" would be short, brutal and significantly one sided.

Hoard as much ammo as you want FEMA an Abrams is a beast you haven't remotely considered yet. A Ranger Rifle Squad would plain put a hurting (just factoring for violence of action) on them. Much less Specter.
