Just a quick update while I am on a pass: I will be getting my Tab this Friday. It sucked, but was worth it.

I'll post a bit more when I get back to the real world next.

The way I became a Ranger and have earned the small amount of success I have had in life has been mostly due to one quality - determination. Lefty.

Dave, words can't express how proud I am of your accomplishment. Glad to see that you followed my example and graduated before the frostbite classes. Now the bad news, you have your tab and now everyone's expectation rises.

I finally graduated from Ranger school. It's been 5 years in the making, and was worth every bit of it. It had its rough moments (watching my first patrol going to shit, first mountains movement going up "the wall", first movement with the heavy Florida ruck) but each just made me stronger. I only saw one difference between the graduates and drops- the guys who got their tabs were willing to stick it out, no matter how rough, or how many times they had to repeat a phase. It was some good training, and already I am starting to see its effects. I haven't received that "cherry LT" treatment since getting my tab... its nice.
